St. John Lutheran Missions & Outreach Team is requesting help with making Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief. These kits provide much needed supplies to some of the poorest people in the world. Along with poverty, these families have now had to deal with the devastating conditions and economic loss COVID-19 has imposed.
With the simple in-gathering of towels, soap, toothbrushes, combs and nail clippers, we can help people coping with poverty, disaster, war/conflict, and now: COVID. These kits show our faith and love in action and help provide dignity and hope in the most difficult of situations. Our Confirmation students are excited and waiting to assemble the supplies we gather into the kits to be sent around the world. A suggested donation of $3.00 per kit helps Lutheran World Relief offset the costly shipping. We will be gathering items until May 31st.
All items should be NEW and in good condition. Please follow the directions to the right. There will be a bin outside the front doors of St. John to make dropping off your items easy. Please do not include money in any form if you are dropping off items in the bin. If you wish to help with shipping costs, please do so on Sundays or during office hours: M-TH 10 AM to 4 PM and Friday 10 AM to Noon. Or mail in your check: 13045 Fremont Ave. Zimmerman, MN 55398. Questions? Please email: email@example.com
