We are excited to see students back in person this year! We believe that our teens grow in faith best when they can connect and learn in person. In keeping with CDC and American Academy of Pediatric guidelines, we recommend that our students wear a mask when they gather. However, they are not required at this time.
Confirmation classes will be IN PERSON this year at St. John! We believe that our teens grow in their faith best when they can connect and learn in person. In keeping with CDC and American Academy of Pediatric guidelines, we recommend that our students wear a mask when they gather for confirmation. However, they are not required at this time.
We are holding this "spot" open on the web page, in case we need too switch to Zoom classes.
Service hours have become:
Acts of Kindness! Click the link below to read more about Acts of Kindness and how they make up our service requirements. This is another promise made at Confirmation--to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ.
Each Act of Kindness needs to be documented to fulfill the confirmation requirement.
The community of St. John gathers every Sunday at 8 AM and 10:30 AM [9 AM in the summer months] for worship. The purpose of Sermon Notes is to have students experience worship with others at St. John.
We recognize that sometimes confirmation students may have no other choice but to participate in on-line worship. Click below to attend worship online.
Worship is an essential part of what we do together as Christians.
The Worship/Sermon note requirements are in place to help students practice the confirmation promise they will make: to worship regularly. To attend worship regularly is also one of the promises parents make at Baptism. The majority of each student's worship/sermon notes need to be from in-person worship services.
